  • Nursery Rhyme Books  (I can repeat familiar rhymes)

    • Find the different rhyme books in your RHYME LEARNING PACKET

    • Have a grown up help you read the words

    • Use your crayons in your AT HOME KIT to color illustrations for your book

    • Read your book to someone

• MATH

  • Humpty First Aid (I can subitize and count objects)

    • Play this game with a grown up

    • Find the egg sheets and the band aids in your RHYME LEARNING PACKET

    • Take your markers, and the number 2, 3 and 4 dot cards from your AT HOME KIT

    • Draw a face one egg sheet to make them Humpty Dumpty

    • Pick a dot card and stick that many band aids onto your Humpty.

    • Keep playing until you run out of band aids or your Humpty is full

    • Practice trying to tell the number just by looking at the card without counting.

      • To make the game harder, add the 4, 5 or 6 cards
        Have your grown up make their own Humpty and play this as a game taking turns

      • If you run out of band aids, you can always draw some with your markers.

• FINE MOTOR/WRITING

  • Cracked Egg   (I can demonstrate pre-writing strokes)

    • Take a piece of white construction paper, a white crayon and the watercolor paints from your AT HOME KIT

    • Have a grown draw an large egg shape on the white paper

    • Use your white crayon to draw cracks (zig zag lines).  You will need to use a LOT of pressure to make thick lines with the crayons

    • Take your watercolors and use a dark color and paint over the egg

    • You should be able to see the “cracks” appear when you paint over them

  • Humpty Dumpty Rhyming (I can match words that rhyme)

    • Complete this activity in Seesaw

• HODGE PODGE 2

  • STEM Wall Challenge (I can design and build my ideas)

    • Take the craft sticks, unifix cubes and playdoh from your AT HOME KIT

    • Use the playdoh to make an egg about the size of a large grape

    • Use the craft sticks and cubes to build a wall that your egg can sit on without falling.

    • Experiment with your egg and wall

    • Take a photo of you wall and add it to your Seesaw journal

      • What happens if you make the egg bigger?
